TabHow it works

Don't front the money. Start a Tab.

Fund a group purchase together before anyone has to carry the whole bill. Everyone pays their part, the Tab tracks the total, and the purchase moves forward when it is fully funded.

How Tab works

  1. 1

    Start

Create a Tab for the purchase and set the amount.

  2. 2

    Share

Invite the people paying with you.

  3. 3

    Fund

Everyone contributes their part. When the Tab is fully funded, the group is ready to complete the purchase.

A group can afford the purchase. One person should not have to.

Buy now, pay later splits a payment across time. Tab splits a payment across people.

A $4,000.00 house today

  • One person puts the full $4,000.00 on their own card.
  • They text seven people and wait.
  • They track who paid and who forgot.
  • If someone drops out, they absorb it.

The same house on a Tab

  • Eight people pay $500.00 each, directly into the Tab.
  • Everyone sees the same progress at the same time.
  • Nobody is owed anything afterward.
  • The purchase moves forward once the total is funded.

What Tab does, and what it does not

The 2.9% Tab service fee is shown on the review screen before anyone pays, added on top of the contribution. It is never taken out of the amount that goes toward the purchase.

Funding progress measures the purchase total only. A Tab reads 100 percent when the full purchase amount has been contributed, not when fees are collected.

This is a working prototype of the product experience. It does not process payments, move money, hold funds, issue refunds, or connect to a merchant.

There are no accounts and no card details. Tabs you create are stored in this browser only, and you can clear them at any time.

Start a Tab and let everyone pay their part.
